Tourism in the Arab World and its Role in Enhancing Economic Integration

Tourism and travel sector has quickly grown to be one of the major economic and industrial sectors of the economies of most countries of the world. The recent growing significance of tourism as an economic activity in the Arab World is reflected in the increased recognition it has been given at local, national, and regional levels, and the rapid development of the rich and long neglected tourism resources. As a result, the share of the Arab World of international tourism is increasing steadily, enabling tourism to gain high priority in the economic, and development plans of the Arab countries. This study aims to emphasize the importance of integrating the varied environmental and tourism resources of the Arab states in a practical and pragmatic way that considers. Thus, tourism can play a major and most effective role in achieving Arab economic integration and solidarity and enhancing the feeling of belonging to the Arab nation among Arab tourists. Recent international changes have confirmed that the mutual economic interests are the ones that can enable the unity of the Arab World in a realistic way from the dreams and ambitions of politics.
