Methods of Decision-Making and their Relation to the Behavior of Procrastination among a Sample of Occupants of Supervisory Positions in the Government Sector in Kuwait

This study aimed to examine the relationship between decision-making styles and procrastination behavior. A convenient sample was selected from Kuwaiti government sector (47 males and 36 females). The Melbourne decision making questionnaire and the Arabic Scale of procrastination were applied. Results showed that correlations between the decision-making styles and procrastination were significant and positive. Females had significantly higher mean scores than males in Buck-passing and Hyper-vigilance. There was no significant differenceamong the sample in decision-making styles and procrastination behavior according to the variables of functional level, educational level and years of experience. The study revealed the ability of decision-making styles in predicting the procrastination behavior.
