AN Empirical study of behavior modification at preschool children in Kuwait

Auther : Viola EL Beblawi

This study examines the relations between preschool childrens play activity representative play, and table play and peer reinforcement through observation by giving approval, affection and submission. There were significant interactions between play activity at children (c=100,aged 5-6 years ) and reinforcement giving by their peers, especially by approval and submission. Males are more active as response to social positive reinforcement in table play, where females are more active in representative play. ANOVA reveals that there are no significant differences according to age in gender in the mutuality of social reinforcement through play activity at preschoolers(n=140, aged 4-6 years). Correlations show the relevance between giving and taking reinforcement among children ( n=70, aged 4-6 years) in the context of play activity.
