This paper examines the effects of the exchange liberalization of the Egyptian pound on some economic variables such as imports, exports and price, index. The analysis covers the main following points : 1- the debate about the devaluation effects. 2- the measuring and study of the impact of exchange rate on the supply and demand of the foreign currencies. 3- the impact of the exchange  rate liberalization on the balance of payment. The study concludes that the liberalization will bring many effect, some of them positive and others negative . the devolution should be accompanied by suitable monetary and fiscal policies.
