Pleasant events and activities among Egyptian under graduate

This research aims : a) construct an Egyptian pleasant events schedule. b) define the frequency of practicing each item in the in the EPES among a specific sample. c) find out the rank of the items in a descending order, and d)  test the gender differences among EPES items as well as the total score . the final version , which depends on open ended question directed to 267 under graduates , contains 226 items . the internal consistency of the schedule reached the high levels of 0.94, 0.88 and o.92 for males , females and the combined group respectively . on the other hand , the content validity of the EPES was appropriately demonstrated . results revealed statistically significant sex-related differences in the total EPES scores , i.e. Males . attained higher mean scores . thirty percent of the items differentiated  clearly between males and females with regard to frequency of practicing pleasant events . the vast majority of the aforementioned items reflected the traditional Arabic sex – roles . the possible prophylactic and therapeutic uses of EPES were discussed . further research on the subject appears  warranted
