To evaluate the impact of a specified cause of death on human longevity, life expectancy of current population has been compared with the hypothetical life expectancy of the same population under conditions that would exist if that particular cause of death was eliminated. This means that the decrements by death was divided in life table into components according to during the period 1973-1975.

Infecyive and Parastic Diseases.

Diseases of the Circulatory system.

Diseases of the Respiratory system.

Accidents Poisoning and Violence ( External causes).

Differential life tables according to the above-mentioned group of diseases as causes of death for the year 1975 were constructed Similar tables were also constructed after eliminated causes, as a group, were responsible for about 12% for males and 6% for females of all deaths in Kuwait . Anlysis of data showed that the increase in the probability of dying in 1975 due to the elimination of external causes was about 8% for males, and 3% for females in diseases of the circulatory system . Life expectancy at birth was 66 years for males and 70.4 for females . If the external diseases were eliminated as a cause of death , the males would expect an additional length of life at birth of about 2.3 years compared with 1.9 years for females.
