The Economic Implications of the Second gulf Crisis

The direct economic cost of the Second Gulf war was estimated at approximately  $ 450 billion. Such a figure does not include other indirect costs incurred by the private sectors of the countries involved in the conflict.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the economic implications of this crisis by

Examining first, the importance of oil as a strategic weapon to the development of the Arab countries and second, the prospects of cooperation and coordination among those countries. Two possible scenarios were formulated in light of the newly established World Order.
