The Aim of Procreation in the Arab-Zionist Duel: An Islamic Usuli-Political Study

Auther : Dr. Sami Muhammad As-Salahaat

The topic of the aims (maqasid) and objectives of the Islamic Sharia occupies a special status to Muslim scholars, thinkers and researchers, being the criterion thereby are assessed the reality and final forms of the Sharia rulings. This topic becomes more important when we deal with the new critical issues afflicting the Muslim Ummah on the different levels and aspects; it becomes much more of a special importance when the rulings are being applied to the actual situations related to those new occurrences, taking in mind that the best way to study the current serious political issues is to address them through the perspective of the Sharia aims.

In this study, we’ll try our best to clarify the importance of reading the dimensions of the Palestinian issue from the Usuli-maqasidi perspective. The dimension addressed here is closely related to “progeny” – or “honor” as labeled by Usul scholars, because the population, or demographic, duel is one of the Arab-Israeli duel hot aspects.

The demographic problem – commonly called “the timed bomb”, has become a threat to the future of the Zionist entity, hence, the researchers must investigate it deeply and carefully, because it will finally affect the course the Arab-Zionist duel will take in the light of the news indicating that the Palestinian will demographically equal to Jews by the beginning of 2006 in spite of the waves of the Jewish immigrants.

This study will concentrate on the factor of population, or the demographic danger, between Arabs and Zionists through reading the recent demographic studies from a Maqasidi-Usuli perspective.
