This paper deals with an important issue related to daily food stuffs of human being, animal food productions: meat, eggs, dairy and all productions derived from them, as well as other productions produced from animals that are fed by fodder mixed with some impurities such as blood, dead animals, and wastes of slaughterhouses such as bones, wool, hair and feather, whether these wastes remained in their original form or transformed into another substance.
The paper concentrated on the meaning of fodder, their kinds and their necessity to animals and on the essence of impurities. It mentioned the agreement among jurisprudence scholars of both Maliki and Shafi’i schools on the permissibility of giving animals food contaminated with impurities. As for impurities such as blood and stool, they disagreed, and the paper supported the opinion saying it is disliked.
The paper has also concentrated on scholars’ disagreement about benefiting from “jallalah” animals, which are mostly fed with impurities until the smell of their sweat, and meat get changed.
Like wise, the paper studied the issue of purifying impurities through transforming their substances into different ones with new characteristics, and favored the opinion saying that after transformation they become pure and permissible for use. In this way many of the fears, doubts and assumptions dominating many minds nowadays could be removed.
