Significance of the Littleness Plural in the Opinion of the Fundamentalists. Establishment of the Origin and Application Dr. Faisal Ahmed Al-Lamee Teacher of Jurisprudence and its Principles – College of Sharia & Islamic Studies- Kuwait University Abstract: This research aimed to discuss the conflict between the fundamentalists and the linguistics regarding the littleness plural if used in common. The fundamentalists who favored the form make general without regardless whether littleness or broken plurals, which contradict the opinion of the Linguists who believe they are different from each other, as mentioned by Haramin Imam. I mentioned the sayings of the fundamentalists replying to this ambiguity, their evidences and discussions, then mentioned some applications to this matter. The study concluded that, fundamentalists fixed their opinion to consider the identified plurals in the legal texts as general because of the existence of the Alif and Lam letters, which indicate immersion. Also, consider plurals in customary uses as littleness plurals, according to jurisprudence rules, i.e. the default is acquittal.
