Earn Living via the Prestige in the Islamic Jurisprudence Dr. Mohammad HashimAbdulrahim Teacherat Comparative Jurisprudence Department, College of Sharia & Islamic Studies, Kuwait University Abstract The methods to earn living are various in our contemporary society, such methods include earn living via the prestige, which is the result of long-term effort. In this research, we will explain the opinion of the Islamic Jurisprudence regarding this matter. This research provides an answer to the question, which drew the attention of many, regarding the permissibility to use the prestige to earn living and whether there are controls for this matter? Prestige is the result of responsible work that reached after a great work and effort, making the person worthy of trust and liability. The prestigious person has good will and capable of keeping the deposits. The research distinguishes between the mere prestige and the prestige achieved by effort, expenses, etc. the researcher outweigh the opinion of those who allowed earning living via the prestige, based on evidences and the need of the people. The preamble indicating the importance of money and its position in the Islamic Sharia. The research composed of four chapters. Chapter one: discuss the definition of earn living and prestige. The second chapter urging to earn living and the conditions in which the money may be praised or dispraise. The third chapter: indicated the rule of earn living via prestige. The fourth chapter: indicated the contemporary forms to earn living via the prestige, what is permissible, what is not and the disputed forms. Then, the conclusion, which included the most important outcomes, followed by the references.
