Silence During the Prayers, Settings and Rules Thereof Dr.Abdul Majeed Bin Saleh Al-Mansour Assistant Prof. at Sharia Sciences Section, King Fahad Security College – KSA Abstract: The research composed of an introduction and three topics. The introduction dealt with the definition of the title’s words; which are silence in lexical and contextual meaning, words of prayers; silence and listening, then dealt with the topics of the research. In the first topic, indicated the rule regarding the silence of the prayer who is praying behindthe Imam and settings thereof; obligation, prohibition and undesirability. The silence of the Imam and settings thereof;desirability and undesirability, the number of silence times for imam and the disputes among the scholars regarding it. In the second Topic: indicated the rules of silence following The Opener (Al-Fatihah) and the dispute of the scholars regarding it, then the purpose of silence, and its timing following The Opener (Al-Fatihah). In the third topic: he indicated the rule of reading The Opener (Al-Fatihah) for the payer praying behind the Imam, in case the Imam became silent following the Opener (Al-Fatihah). The rule of prayer regarding its invalidity,in case the prayer praying behind the Imam reads at the same time of Imam, whichever is best in the silences of the Imam opening supplication (du'aa)or reading The Opener (Al-Fatihah). Then concluded with the most significant outcomes.
