Conventional matrimony is considered one of the serious social problems that threatens Islamic society with bad effects caused by it in addition to being a contradict of one of Islamic Shari'ah intentions that is keep safe family position and posterity.
First topic tackled matrimony concept on the linguistic side. It showed the legislative matrimony on side of finding a living place and love of both wife and husband for one another besides smoothing self and fortifying it from falling in committing adultery and keeping self safe from extinction. It can also meet instinctive needs of providing posterity who will be good citizens. It also showed the concept of conventional matrimony and its forms ensuring the necessity of distinguishing Shari'ah matrimony which has fulfilled all conditions and pillars and conventional matrimony which has not been registered at formal authorities. It is called conventional marriage. The Shari'ah matrimony has completed all conditions that make it approved by Shari'ah in order not to be mistaken for other kinds of unlawful marriages.
The second topic dealt with reasons of conventional marriage and its effects whether those affecting individuals or affecting society.
The third topic shows conventional matrimony of different prescriptives . The topic concluded by considering conventional matrimony as improper.
