Effect of damage of property on the imposition Of paying its due Zakat. Dr. Qaddafi Ezzat Abdul-hadi AL-Ghananeem Prof. Assistant in Fiqh and its Usool – Faculty of Shariah. Jordanian University-Hashimite Kingdom of Jordan.

 

Originally the obligation of paying Zakat on property or money is their safety and remaining. Yet, an occurrence may change its condition from safety to damage. This change requires the knowledge of the judgment on the owner to pay its due Zakat in the condition of damage.

As damage has great effect on propertys remaining safe, the study showed necessity of examining the extent of damage on property and its effect on the nisab the part remaining safe and is due for paying Zakat a year after and the part that is not due for Zakat.

In conclusion, the researcher exposed the most important results the study reached after exposing sayings of Fiqh scholars and their proofs in exposed issues for reaching those results.
