This study exposes a book of conquests which was written in the outset of third century of Hejra but it was lost after the eighth century of Hejra as it appears in pusuing its title in the list of scholars indexes and of in works of biographies. This book of Magazi is a book that included information from the prophet’s biographies. He added these tidings different historical narrations, most of them are related to the history of Islamic conquests at the eras of guided caliphate and about Muslim wars in Alsham with Romans (Byzantians) until the death of Caliph Abassyed Ma’moon (A.H.218). the author was one of his contemporaries.

In addition  , the book includes historic material that does not directly relate to conquests such like tidings of giving “Bay’ah” = commitment and promise to support some caliphs and tidings of some historical landmarks and some deaths and biographies.

The study dealt with scientific environment that surrounded a period of publishing the book in Damascus at a time when the abassyd dynasty was at the peak of glory. This study pursued methods of narrating and transferring conquest books of Ibn A’ed since the time of the author until the time of missing the book. We mentioned names of scholars who depended on it or quoted from the book whether these scholars were narrators of Hadith or historians with special care on giving an integrated complete picture of the contents of this book depending on quotations of later scholars.
