Crescent first appearance differences, and effect on starting and ending the fasting month.

This research deals with the effects of crescent first appearance in starting or breaking the fasting month. It is a comparative Fiqh study following a plan that involves a preface, four requirements and a conclusion. The preface includes a definition of the effects topic and finding out where differences lie – first requirement is represented by the methods of Fiqh scholars and reasons for dispute related to first appearance of the new crescent differences. The second requirement is presenting evidences and how to use them. The third requirement includes discussions and answers to this issue. The last and fourth requirement is outweighing the opinion of crescent first appearance differences. The conclusion includes research findings.
The research comes up with three different opinions on this issue: The first opinion calls for paying no heed to differences of crescent first appearance ; the second opinion sees we must pay heed to the differences of first appearances ; the third opinion gives details such as nearness of countries, in this case there should be no need for difference but if countries were far they should consider the distance despite their difference in specifying the distance.
The researcher is of the opinion of paying no heed to difference of first appearance of crescent among countries who share in the night of watching for the new crescent however short it is .
This is what each Muslim hopes that Muslims will reach mutual agreement among themselves everywhere and all the time.
