Attitude and behaviour of University staff Members towards Audio-visual Aids: A Comparative study

The aims of this research are: to study and compare the attitude and behavior of staff members in Faculties of Education in Basrah and Garyounis Universities. A questionnaire, which included general information, Like type scale for measuring the attitude towards A.V.A. and items related to the use of A.V.A., was designed to achieve the aims of this study.

25 staff members in Faculty of Education, Basrah University and 50 staff members in the Faculty of Education, Garyounis University represented the samples of the study.

The results revealed that:

1 - The attitude of staff members in both universities was favorable.

2 - There was no statistical difference between the attitude of staff members in Basrah and Garyoundis.

3 - The Garyounis group was more familiar only with O.H.P. and transparency making than Basrah group. Half of both groups indicated that they are interested to know more about and practice the A.V.A. This result with the favorable attitude can be the base of in-service training, which must be suited for the staff needs.
