Teacher Evaluation in the State of Kuwait

The Purpose of this study is to explore teachers, supervisors, and Principals viewpoint toward Teacher Evaluation in Kuwait Public Schools. Moreover, it aims to find if there are significant differences between participants opinions according to their positions, nationalities, gender and educational areas.

The study sample is randomly selected from secondary schools in the five educational areas in the State of Kuwait. The sample consisted of 406 teachers, 32 principals, and 104 supervisors. A three - part questionnaire contains 35 items was used. These parts are the follow-up card, the comment form, and the evaluation criterion.

For the analysis of the data, spss was utilized to obtain frequencies, percentages, and chi-square to determine the differences between the respondents according to their demographic characteristics. The results showed that teacher evaluation program needs improvement in several points mentioned in the study.
