Auther : Dr. Salem A. Al-Gharaibes - AbdelShakor A. Al-Mesheikah

This study aims at identifying the common multiple intelligences, the differences in multiple intelligences due to gender, and multiple intelligences as predictors of academic Self-Efficacy and academic adjustment among University Students. To achieve the goals of the Study, the researchers administered Mackenzie's Multiple intelligences Inventory, Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, and Academic Adjustment Scale to a sample of Qassim University Students (n=542). The results indicated that the most common Intelligence among Al-Qassim University Students was the intrapersonal Intelligence, then Existential Intelligence in the second rank. Whereas Musical intelligence was the least common one. Results also found that there were statistically significant differences due to gender in each of musical intelligence, logical - mathematical, and interpersonal intelligence with priority for males, and statistically significant differences in Bodily - synthetic intelligence with priority for females. The results also revealed that multiple intelligences (musical intelligence, bodily - synthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and Spatial-Visual Intelligence) can predict significantly academic self-efficacy. Spatial-Visual - Intelligence and logical - mathematical intelligence also can significantly predict the academic adjustment. Finally, results were discussed in light of previous studies, and some recommendations were suggested.
