the computer of the educational performance of Male and Female Secondary School Pricncipals in Saudi Arabia as by Perceived Teachers

Auther : Abdulrahman I. Al-Mahboob

The aim of this study is to identify the degree of the competency of the educational performance of male and female secondary school principals as perceived by secondary school teachers in Al-Ahsa Governorate. The sample consisted of 296 teachers of both sexes who were asked to respond to a fifty-two-item questionnaire representing six dimensions which were related to the educational aspect, the technical aspect, teacher welfare, student welfare, school building, and principal-parent relationship. In dealing with the data of the study, the researcher used the appropriate techniques.

The findings of the study showed that the school principals were highly efficient in administrative and technical practices, and were above average in the other four practices. The findings also showed that the female estimations of the efficiency of the principals in administrative and technical practices were higher than those of male teachers. Moreover there were no statistically significant differences between the estimates of male and female teachers due to sex and experience variables which favour female teachers. Recommendations for decision makers in the institutions of public education were cited.
