An Assessment of the Knowledge of Arabic Language Teachers of Behavioral Objectives in Mali Arabic Secondary Schools

This study aims to determine the level of Arabic teachers' knowledge of behavioral objectives in Arabic secondary schools in relation to its concept, relevance, formulation, fields, and levels. The researchers employed descriptive survey approach to achieve the stated objectives. Questionnaire was administered to 124 Arabic language teachers in Mali Arabic secondary schools. The results showed that the teachers have high level of knowledge regarding the concept of behavioral objectives and its importance, but they have low ability to formulate behavioral objectives in its various fields. They also have low level of knowledge regarding the levels of behavioral objectives in the cognitive, emotional, and skill domains. Based on the results of the study, one of the main recommendations of the research is: the Introduction of educational courses for Arabic language teachers in Mali Arabic secondary schools to cultivate them in the better way of formulating behavioral objectives in different fields.
