Heading A Suggested Framework to Develop "Classroom Teacher" Program at Yarmouk University to Support its Student Teachers to Teach Science Effectively

This study aims to develop a framework for the classroom teacher program at Yarmouk University to support its graduates to teach science effectively. To build the suggested framework in-depth interviews were conducted with a sample of (15) participants. The interview questions aimed to identify the obstacles that cause weakness of teaching science. The results showed that the obstacles are concentrated in two dimensions: Obstacles related to the program plan, and obstacles related to the implementation procedures. By referring to the program plan, and to take advantage of leading international experiences in the development of the classroom teacher program, and in light of the solutions proposed by the participants, the suggested framework was built to consist of three main stages: The pre-processes stage, the processes stage that are based on three parallel axes: the partnership between the Faculties of Science and Education, rewriting the program plan, and the academic supervision. The third is the post-processes stage which is focused on field experience (practicum) program.
