The Effect of a proposed Motor Education program on the Motor, Affective, and Cognitive Development of Preschool Children,

This study aimed to investigate the effects of a proposed motor education program on the motor, affective, and cognitive development of preschool children, and to compare the results with those of the existing program based on free activities

The participants were 40 children between the ages of 5-7 years who attended Aladdin Kindergarten in Bahrain. They were divided into two groups: experimental group (n=20) and control (n=20). The experimental groups (n=20) and control (n=20). The experimental group participated in the proposed education program while the control group participated in the usual free activities program. The major findings of this study were as follows:

1#Significant differences were found between pre- and post-test of the experimental group in the levels of motor, affective, and cognitive development. The differences were in favor of post-test score.

2#Significant differences were found between pre- and post-test of the control group in the levels of motor development. The differences were in favor of post-test score.

3#The proposed motor education program was significantly effective in improving motor, affective, and cognitive developments of the preschool children.

It was concluded that motor education program for preschool children should be given more attention. Additional research is needed in this area.
