The Attitudes of College of Education Students Towards the Profession of Teaching

The study builds on the premise that education is the basis for all development and civilization advancement. It centres around the teacher as the pillar of the educational process, which is regarded as the mother and initiator of all professions because it is concerned with building the human being.

A random sample of 330 students (boys and girls) participated in this study.

A questionnaire of 30 items is used to explore, the students attitudes towards The results showed no statistically significant differences as of the attitudes of both sexes towards teaching and no such differences existed regarding the number of years of study. On the other hand, the study reflected differences with regard to specialization - literary stream. Moreover, the study showed no attitudinal differences in GCSE and College GPA.
