Self-efficacy in Relation to Teaching Efficacy, Educational Beliefs and Job Stress for Teachers and Student Teachers in KSA

Auther : Ibrahim A. Ibrahim

The study explores the relationship between self-efficacy and teaching efficacy, job stress and educational beliefs for those involved. The sample (n. 200) comprises four groups: student teachers, elementary, intermediate, secondary school teachers. Findings indicate a significant positive correlation between teaching efficacy, self efficacy and educational beliefs. A significant negative correlation between teaching efficacy and job stress is also depicted. Data analyses revealed significant differences related to educational stage (elementary, intermediate, secondary). Self-efficacy, job stress, and educational beliefs prove graded importance (respectively) in predicting teaching efficacy. Recommendation are cited.
