The experimental group (64) were taught using Merrill-Tennyson model, while the control group (65) were taught using the traditional method of teaching, to develop writing and grammar skills. All subjects received two tests, the first about writing skills and the second about grammar skills (in both pre - and post measurements).

The major findings of the study were as follows:

There were statistical differences in each of writing and grammar skills between experimental group and control group in favor of the experimental group.

Blake Ratio has been statistically accepted among the experimental group students in each writing and grammar skills.

Merrill - Tennyson model has proved statistically accepted effeciency ratio in developing writing and grammar skills.

In the light of the findings, the researcher proposed some suggestions in order to promote and develop writing and grammar skills among students in general education.
