Students rating of University instructors and their relationship to some of their personality traits

This study has been designed to reveal the relationship between ratings of university instructors and the personality traits of students of Al-Jouf junior college, Saudi Arabia. The sample size was 223 students; Student’s were administered Hayes Instructors Rating Questionnaires, and Gordon’s personality profile. Correlation coefficients were then calculated so as to test for the validity of the hypotheses. The researcher reached the following conclusions:

  1. There was no significant correlation between the student’s ratings of university instructors and the student’s scores on the domination scale.
  2. There was no significant correlation between the student’s ratings and their responsibility trait score.
  3. There was a significant correlation between the student’s rating and their emotional stability trait scores.
  4. There was no significant correlation between the student’s rating and their sociability trait scores.
