Auther : Dr. Fahad A. Al-Khezzi - Dr. Mohammed E. Al-Zakari

This study aims at examining the equivalence between computerized and written (paper-and-pencil) tests, and the fact that being exposed to computerized tests affects students' attitudes toward them. Using the experimental design, 316 students at the college of education,  Kuwait University, were given the above two forms of tests. Results showed that (a) computerized and paper-and pencil exams are equivalent with a significant decrease of time needed to complete the test in favor of computerized test; and (b) increase of the favorable attitudes toward computerized exams after experiencing them. The study main recommendations include the adaption of computerized tests in humanities majors, and to conduct similar studies in scientific disciplines at the university level and all disciplines at the basic levels.
