Auther : Dr. Naser E. Al-Sharea - Ms. Alya E. Al-Dowaila

This paper aims to verify the extent of schools participation in installing national values and patriotism from the viewpoint of secondary schools students in the State of Kuwait. The sample consisted of 294 students (male/female). The study adopted the analytical statistical descriptive method. A questionnaire was designed with 37 items, and the results were tested with statistical means, standard deviation, the T test, and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study revealed important results: school participation in installing national values was inadequate (62.96%), and the results also showed that the differences in student's valuation of school participation in fostering good citizenship values were statistically significant. These differences were mainly due to the variables of sex and academic major, and in favor for females and specialization in the field of humanities. On the other hand, differences ascribed to the variables of conservativeness and citizenship were not statistically significant. In the light of these findings, the study presented a set of recommendations and procedures that can enhance and raise the levels of schools contribution and participation in installing good nationalism.
