Anxiety, Depressions, and Social Values: Comparison Study Between Orphanage Children in State of Kuwait .

     The present study aimed at investigating the differences between Kuwaiti orphanage children, living in the different orphanage cave facilities on the measures of traits anxiety, depression, and social values. Subjects were 857 orphanages (411 males and 446 females). Their ages averaged between 10 and 18 years. The questionnaires of anxiety, depression and values were administered in small group sessions. Results revealed significant differences between orphanages in respect to place of residence, the orphanages who were under the care of the Organization of P.O.W. were  less in anxiety and depression. Although the average of anxiety scores were not high, the depression scores were high for the orphanages as total. The orphanage selected the values of wonderful life, pleasure, and understanding as important values. There were significant differences between gender of the orphanage in respect of traits anxiety and depression. The female orphanages had higher average scores in anxiety and depression scales than males.
