This study aimed to identify the main factors leading to PAAET student's reluctance to participate in students general union elections. A specific questionnaire was designed to examine this phenomena based on students perspective. The study also examined the impact of related variables on the election participation process. The study sample consisted of 488 randomly selected students (Males and Females) from the School of Basic Education and School of Commercial Studies. The results of the survey analysis reveled that the low participation rate was restricted to female students only, and did not include the male students. The results also showed statistically significant differences in response due the variable marital status. Meanwhile, the variables gender, school year, and designated collage were not statistically significant. Based on the results, the study recommended few measures that might contribute in increasing student's participation in PAAET elections.
