Staff Training Needs in Arabic Private Schools in the State of Kuwait: AL-Najat Schools as a Model .

     This study investigates the professional development process in Arabic private schools in the State of Kuwait. It examines Al-Najat private schools as a model. The study purposes to identify the training needs and priorities of the teaching and supervisory staff in these schools, as well as the obstacles of the training process. It follows a descriptive analytical methodology in its approach. Data are collected through a questionnaire from a randomly selected sample (297 participants). Results indicate that both academic and administrative staff is experiencing different training needs significantly. Findings also detect certain shortcomings of the professional development process. Accordingly, a number of recommendations for embracing and improving the professional development process in Arabic private schools are presented.
