The Extent of Kuwaiti Secondary School Principals' Usage of ICT in Administrative Affairs

     The study aimed to reveal the extent of secondary school principal’s utilization of ICT in administrative affair. To achieve this objective, a consisting of questionnaire 48 items was used. The questionnaire covers three dimensions: First: the availability of ICT infrastructures and sources. The second deals with the extent of secondary school principals; usage of ICT in administrative affairs. The third: secondary school principals' perception of obstacles deterring them to employ the ICT in their daily practices. 27 principals were surveyed from different provinces in Kuwait. Data were analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that school principals involved in this study assessed the availability of ICT infrastructure and sources at a moderate level with (56%) of the study sample. School principals reported that they used ICT devices in administrative affair on average, with (64%). School principals involved in this study pointed out that obstacles present (69%), which discourage their employment of ICT in administrative affair. The data revealed that no statistically significant differences due to the variables of gender and academic qualification, experience and age were captured. The study called for the Ministry of Education in Kuwait to pay attention to the ICT infrastructures shortage and the school principals; lack of awareness of ICT importance.
