Kuwait University Students Attitudes
Auther : Prof. Ali A. Watfa
The study deals with Kuwait University students attitudes towards expatriate labor, which is one of the key issues in Kuwait and other GCC countries alike. The sample consists of 2155 students during the first semester of 2008/2009. A specially designed questionnaire is employed for this purpose. While the results indicate positive views towards the rights and recruitment of skilled expatriate labor, they show negative ones towards the different forms of unnecessary labor. The results also show that KU students are aware of the social problems that a large expatriate labor force may cause. The study also reports statistically significant differences in the students attitudes in terms of gender, specialization, and social background. A number of recommendations based on the results of this investigation are provided.
