The True Situation of Creativity Education in the Faculty of Education and Human Sciences (FEHS) in Taibah University and a Suggestion for its Implementation

     The present study aims to know the true situation of creativity education, in the Faculty of Education & Human Sciences (FEHS) in Taibah Univerisity in Al Madinah Al Muwnawarah. Also, it aims to Know the views of all of leaders of the FEHS. In addition, the study aims to provide a suggestion for the development of creativity education in (FEHS) on the light of some of creativity education programmes used in the Japanese system of education that concentrate on technology and manufacturing aspects, and the British one, that focuses on academic aspects. The population of the study consisted of all deans and vice deans of the FEHS since its establishment in 1397 H until 1426 H (15 individuals.

     To collect data, content analysis was applied to studying plans of all subjects in the FEHS. Also, interviews were conducted with the population in order to know their opinions about this situation. In addition, descriptive analytical method was used to describe, discuss and interpret variables.

     The results of the empirical part of the content analysis of the studying programmes showed a total absence of creativity education in the goals of all subjects, except in the syllabus of Methods of Teaching Math (1). Also, the word creativity found briefly in one item of the syllabus of Arabic Criticism (2), and Methods of Teaching Art Education. The most important result of the interview study indicated that creativity education, in its formal and systematic framework, has not started yet in the FEHS, due to the absence of an approved plan within the Faculty programmes.

     On the light of the results and inferences, the study introduced a contemporary model for creativity education in the FEHS that built was on two main pillars. The firs one, is the development of a long - term Master Plan for Creativity Education, which involves financial and human facilities that cope with contemporary trends and future forecast in the globel. The second one is the development of a Planning Framework to embody this plan and manage it. One of the most important recommendations of the study is to take steps to evaluate current programmes of FEHS; to insert contents for creativity education in these programmes; and to provide creativity as a central aspect in the teachers initial training programmes in the FEHS.
