The purpose of this study was to explore students perceptions towards the academic, social, cultural, and entertainment roles of the student organizations at Kuwait University colleges. It also explored the effects of participation in student organizations on participated students.
The researcher developed two questionnaires to explore these purposes. The first questionnaire included 24 items related to the roles of student organization and was conducted on 370 randomly selected students. The second questionnaire included 22 items and was conducted on 177 randomly selected students. The study finding indicated that:
The students were satisfied with student organization roles.
No statistically significant differences were found between the responses regarding student organization roles according to students genders and nationalities.
Statistically significant differences were found among the responses regarding student organization roles according to students colleges, grade levels, and grade point averages.
Participation in student organizations has a strong impact on students.
