Work Performance and Social Interaction Among Saudi Women Workers

     The purpose of this study is to explore employees’ work performance and social interaction in a woman’s educational institutions in Saudi Arabia and to analyze some of the cultural and social factors that influence this behavior.  The study population consisted of 185 Saudi women engaged in administrative work.  Findings show that general cultural values influence organizational structure and work performance.  It also demonstrated that in order to understand employee behavior and interaction, it is important to take into consideration the ongoing encounters between forces of change and forces of stability and the socioeconomic conditions, which operate in Saudi Arabia today.  The conclusion of the study points to the importance of bringing about alterations in employees’ performance and organizational structure to ensure efficiency and professionalism while Saudi Arabia attempts to adapt to the emerging global economic and social conditions.
