Auther : By: Dr. Ahmed Bin A. Al-Shamimary, and Dr. Khaled Bin A. Al-Dakhil Allah

This paper investigates the factors influencing the recruitment of national graduate students in the private sector.  It discusses the issues as well as the barriers that slow the trend of hiring the national employment.

On a cross-sectional survey of four samples including, students, university staff, private sector and employment offices, the paper comes with several results and implications. The final results show that the most influential factors that motivate students to prefer the private sector are wages, training and self-development, gaining experience, the opportunity to be creative and the work environment.

The result of the study also, determines the most important talents and qualifications required by the private sector.  In addition, it determines, based on the attitude of the whole sample, the most influential factors that affect the hiring of national employment in the private sectors.  These factors are classified under three main categories: factors related to education and training, factors related to the private sectors and factors related to the student.

Finally, the study concludes with several implications and recommendations that may increase the understanding of this strategic issue and provide some practical suggestions to solve the problem.
