BURNOUT AMONG FEMALE FACULTYOF KING SAUD UNIVERSITY

          The purpose of this study is to assess burnout phenomena among female faculty members, their level and sources.  The researcher established burnout inventory based on open-ended question about different activities of faculty members and consisted of 72 items divided into seven sources.  Results showed that female faculty suffer from high level of burnout especially from sources such as teaching environment, job pressure, relationships with female students and relationships with administration’s center.  Significant differences were found based on some variables such as nationality, age, educational degree, specialty and years of experience.  As for the researcher’s knowledge, this research is the first that deals with female faculty burnout.  The study ended with some suggestions for further research.
