MEANS OF TRANSPORT AND THE DAILY JOURNEY TO WORK IN KUWAIT: AN ANALYTICAL GEOGRAPHICAL STUDY

Auther : By: Dr. Fatema Hussain Al-Abed Razzaq

Transport is a means by which people and commodities move from one place to another.  It also links regions with each other.  Without such movement, interaction would be impossible.  This study deals with transport problem in Kuwait.

Kuwait is a small country, but it pays a great attention to its roads, because cars are its major kind of transport.  By cars, it links its parts together such as its settlement areas as well as its industrial and agricultural area.

Owning a car is very common in Kuwait due to the low cost of petrol and the financial ability of people.  Despite all these facilities, transport in Kuwait faces many problems such a: traffic jam, car accidents, etc.  Therefore, such situation has to be changed by replacing private cars by means of public transport.
