Auther : By: Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Dhafiri
This study investigates the social, economic and educational problems that a widow could face in bringing up their children. The study demonstrates some of the most important legislatives related to housing, inheritance and guardianship that affect these families. A group of one hundred and eighty (180) families have been selected for this quantitative study. The findings show that the widows often suffer from several social and psychological problems. Due to the loss of their husbands, they are uncertain in taking a dual role in raising their families. Large number of their children has been spoiled to the extent of becoming delinquent.
