CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO SOCIAL WORKERS’ JOB SATISFACTION: AN EXPLORATORY
Auther : Dr. Hadi Mukhtar Ridha
This study explores the variables influencing social workers’ job satisfaction in Kuwait. These variables were related to personal characteristics and job conditions. A multiple regression statistical test was used on 330 social workers that were randomly selected from different public ministries and public and private institutions. Results indicate that age was the strongest predictor of job satisfaction. The second strongest predictor of job satisfaction was workload (i.e. number of hours spent by the social worker with clients daily). Income was the third strongest predictor. The fourth strongest predictor was level of education. Finally, sex was fifth strongest predictor of social workers’ satisfaction.
