This study is preliminary attempt to get acquainted with the opinions, knowledge and attitude of citizens towards the utilization of treated sewage water. As it is known, Bahrain is suffering now from severe decrease in underground water, as it is the main source upon which Bahrain depends to get the needed quantity of water. It might be convenient to mention that the decrease in water resources is due to a steady increase in population accompanied by urbanization, industrialization and irrigation which naturally led to a remarkable increase in demand for underground water, resulting in a lowering of water level and in increase in the salinity. Consequently, it has been necessary to think about other non-traditional water resources in order to participate in solving this problem.
This study, consequently, has been chosen as an attempt aiming particularly to become acquainted with the extent of individuals awareness to the utilization of treated sewage water as a subsidiary alternative of solving the problem of water decrease in Bahrain.
