And every person either a buyer or a seller must know the rules in order to have a correct from of transaction.
To achieve that, this book was written using simple and clear terminology, and realistic circumstances to aid muslims in their everyday financial transactions.
I broached the subject of people’s most modern forms of transactions, and stated the probable injunction of law, in reference with fatwas by sheikh’s and islamic scholars.
The book is divided into five chapters:
Chapter One: Explained trade injunctions by showing forbidden trades due to ignorance, and forbidden trades due to deception, while mentioning some examples.
Chapter Tow: Moral rights and vacancies.

Changeable Earth An Introduction to Physical GeologyText Book Series20
Price: KD.8.500
Pages: 485
Changeable Earth An Introduction to Physical Geology Prof. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al-Sarawi Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty of Sciences Kuwait University This book provides an integrated scientific article in the science of physical geology, where it discusses the most important aspects of Earth history that occur as a result of geological phenomena and the range of factors collectively or individually modify Earth. The scientific material for the book is clearly displayed and easy to follow-up, being supported by figures and illustrations. The book is divided into nineteen chapters covering the range of topics relevant to the knowledge of the physical geology. The first chapter is concerned with the definition of geology and processes that affect the Earth’s surface, and the general characteristics of the earth’s crust. In addition, the components of the earth and the generation of rocks are included. This chapter also discusses the origin of planet Earth and the various modern theories regarding the formation of the Earth and its relationship to the solar system. The second chapter deals with the mountains, continents and crustal deformation, where it addresses the evidences for mountain building events and crustal deformation. Also identified are the types of mountains and plate movements, and examples are given of selected localities that show this deformation and the emergence of continents and oceans. Chapter 3 discusses the internal and external processes affecting the formation of the Earth’s surface, referring here to the importance of the earth movement, geothermal waters and groundwater in the construction of the internal shape of the earth, and the impact of these external features. Many of the external processes responsible for the construction of the overall geomorphology of the surface of the Earth have been identified. Chapter 4 discusses mechanical, chemical and biological weathering, where several examples of different types of weathering and the most important factors that control them have been presented. This chapter is one of the important chapters in the identification of those changes which occurred on the Earth’s surface due to physical, chemical and biological effects. Chapter 5 defines the components of the soil, the causes of formation and the factors that affect the differentiation of soil horizons, as well as the soil classification and identification of different kinds and conditions that contribute to its formation. Chapters 6 , 7, and 8 includes the basic types of rocks in the formation of the earth (sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous), the rocks cycles, and the factors that control the transition from one rock type to another is reviewed. These three chapters include the names of all the rocks and minerals in addition to classification tables for the main and sub- divisions of rock types. The 9th chapter discusses an important topic in the science of the physical geology, the geological time scale, including all eras and times of historical and geological periods. The most important features that distinguish each period of these historical periods are also reviewed. Chapter 10 addresses landslides and all their distinct forms, and the climatic conditions that contribute to each type of landslides. The theme of such needs large collection of photos and illustrations. The chapter also includes a review of the modern classification in the field of landslides. Chapter 11explains the subject of deserts in terms of origin and formation, in addition to the importance of wind and water in the formation of desert features. This chapter also includes a special set of photographs of the Arabian deserts, particularly in the State of Kuwait. Chapters 12 and 13 discuss the surface and ground water topics, reviewing the water cycle in nature and effect of water in the formation of the different geological features. Chapter 14 reviews the theme of seas and oceans, including discussion on the importance of waves and the various currents, and tidal cycles in the formation of monuments, and marine forms. This chapter includes a detailed explanation of the formation of beaches structurally and sculpturally, in addition to the effect of near shore currents in sediment movement, and the impact of construction work carried out by human on the coastal equilibrium in general. Chapter 15 includes a detailed explanation on the subject of glaciers and their importance in the formation of the Earth’s surface. This chapter also discusses the most important modern theories in the formation of the glacial periods, along with the importance of climate change, sea level fluctuation and structural movements in the formation of many geological features during such periods. Chapter 16 discusses the karst features and the reason for the emergence of karst features on the surface of the earth, and included in are the details on the karst forms in nature, and the effect of the change in the groundwater level in the formation of caves. Chapters 17 and 18 discuss two interconnected topics (earthquakes and volcanoes) explaining the close relationship between the tectonic plates and the formation of earthquakes and volcanoes. This chapter also includes an extensive classification of the types of earthquakes, volcanoes and their positions, as well as tables that illustrate the most important earthquakes and volcanoes that have occurred in various parts of the world. This chapter also discusses tsunamis (seismic waves) that have occurred recently, and particularly those waves that hit East Asia in 2004. The last chapter, chapter 19 includes the theory of plate tectonics and its importance in the origin of continents and oceans, aided with sufficient figures and illustrations, which facilitate the tracking of these modern theories. I have sought, through scientific preparation of this book, to add a new book in Arabic to our Arab and Gulf libraries.

ADVANCED ISUES IN ARABIC-ENGLISH TRANSLATION STUDIES ) Text Book Series17
Price: KD.7.000
Pages: 364

bstract
This book offers an extended exercise in translation activity between Arabic and English. The main objective is to engage both students and specialists in insights pertaining to translation practice and theorization by examining a wealth of authentic and concocted examples. In addition to a Foreword, an Introduction and a Bibliography, the book consists of six Chapters. Chapter One introduces the main concepts relating to the translator’s work such as equivalence and context. Chapter Two addresses itself to the concept of intrinsic managing, which aims at naturalizing the Target Language (TL) text at the phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic, pragmatic and textual levels. Chapter Three deals with the concept of extrinsic managing, which involves the translator’s interference with the content of the Source Language (SL) text by making ideological moves at the lexical, syntactic and discoursal and/or cultural levels. Chapter Four presents a schema-theoretic account of translation activity, showing that a dynamic comprehension of the schemata in the SL text should be a prerequisite for offering a coherent translation. Chapter Five touches on the notion of politeness by examining the translatability of Arabic euphemisms into English. The last chapter, Chapter Six, offers some concluding remarks. Each chapter is supplemented with a number of practices which aim to elaborate and consolidate students’ understanding of the concepts discussed.

Earth is known of being dynamic with frequently changing features, as well as, their vicinity, either due to natural or man contribution. In order to encounter the variant challenges we may face in life, we should have a rich background knowledge on the earth’s features: their different natures, how beneficiary they can be, and how can man sustainably get use of them without destruction. To get full information on what wealth is exposed on the earth’s and even what is inside the earth is not an easy issue. We need proper tools and techniques to collect detailed information on the earth’s features particularly those unreachable in the field work. Recently we witnessed the information revolution by which tremendous amounts of information are being available on the earth’s outer and inner features. Therefore, it became a must to have programs, systems and techniques to organize, screen and enhance these information for the optimum benefit

Accordingly, we decided to proceed this book to the public introducing the most recent information techniques and systems which provide them with needed information on even the unreachable sites without direct contact (Remote Sensing Technology) and later on organize, screen, enhance, process, reproduce, return and qualitatively and quantitatively display them (Geographic information Systems (GIS)) to be used in the different researches studies and applications. This book feeds the researchers with detailed knowledge on the geographic information systems and remote sensing techniques: their nature, history, development, functioning, how they can be utilized as an efficient tool in multi-discipline applications (socioeconomic, scientific, military ... etc.), and how they were applied internationally, in the Arabian world in general and in the Arabian Gulf countries in particular
