Readers Attitudes Toward Closing Kuwaiti Daily Newspapers: An Applied Study (in Arabic)

Kuwaiti daily newspapers are considered pioneers in the Gulf area and occupy a high status among local and Gulf States media. This study attempts to investigate readers attitudes toward closing Kuwaiti daily newspapers due to holidays and important events.
A survey method is used by the researchers relying on a random sample of 193 readers, using questionnaire aimed at collection data related to readers’ attitudes, sources of news, and suggestions about closing Kuwaiti daily newspaper.
The study results show that approximately 92% of the sample read Kuwaiti daily newspaper, 68% do not approve of closing Kuwaiti daily newspapers because of holidays or other events, and 23.1% of readers do not approve strongly.
In addition, among the study’s significant results 89% of the sample indicated that they miss reading the daily newspapers during the holidays and special events.
