The Poetic Deviation of Conditional Structures in Thi al-Rummah’s Diwan (Poetry) (in Arabic).

Auther : Firyal Hudieb

The research aims to examine a poetic phenomenon in the Umayyad poet, al-Rummah’s poetry, which is his reliance on the conditional structures in the formation of his poetic structures.
The study focuses on the conditional patterns that deviate from the conditional pattern that is of the standard order. The study attempts to answer questions about the conditional style itself, and why it was so often used. The most important questions the study handles revolve around the idea of conditional deviation, as well as the aesthetic and semantic spaces that the poet was able to achieve by employing a stylistic technique.
The overemphasized presence of the conditional structure in al-Rummah’s poetry eased the surprising of the recipient, who has fallen into monotony and boredom. If the poet overuses the stylistic phenomenon, it may weaken the structure that contains it, especially in the absence of what may support and enhance the widely used stylistic measure, and strengthens its presence, such as poetic image.
Some models of total deviation were weak, and their poetic aspects were subdued. This weakness was evident when the researcher balanced the deviated models, which were among a single poetic purpose, such as praise. Thus, the models that followed the original conditional structure, or were founded on the poetic image began to part.
In some forms of poetry, it has been observed that the poet directed his attention to the sentence of the verb of the removed clause as having, for example, the focus of the adjective connotation, whereas the sentence of the clause's answer appears to be poorly structured.
The poetic purpose played a prominent role in the poet's deviation poetry: He was invested in the models in which Mai was included, who the poet was associated with. The study reveals that the poet was adept and creative in his investment in partial conditional deviation. It allowed him to segregate the elements of the poetic sentence and to motivate the recipient to pursue semantic aspects. This enhanced the poetic features of the analyzed models.
