Applying "ḥuroof Almaʿaani" (Particles) to Islamic Jurisprudence Matters in the Book, ṭalʿat al-shams by the Imam al-Salmi (in Arabic).
Auther : Yousuf AlJawarneh
This paper aims to identify the grammatical particles used in the book, ṭalʿat al-shams by Imam Nur al-Din al-Salmi (died in 1332 A.H./ 1914 A.D.), one of the notable figures of Oman during the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the twentieth century. The study examines the ways in which Imam al-Salmi applies grammatical particles to matters relating to Islamic jurisprudence, seeing as the multiple meanings behind the particles result in a difference in juristic judgments.
In the study of grammatical particles, al-Salmi uses the method of the fundamentalist jurists, who expanded their research of this topic, and he mentions them in a way different from that of the fundamentalist speakers (al-Mutakallimun). The researcher refers to only a few particles but omits names and circumstances.
