The Method of Interrogation and its Rhetorical Significance in Surat Assafat: A Stylistic Study (in Arabic)
Auther : Mohamad Salah Abu Hamida
This research studies and analyzes the styles of interrogation in Surat Assafat showing their real and metaphorical implications in light of the Quranic context. The research tries to show the importance of this stylistic approach by analyzing it from different angles.
The paper presents the question words mentioned in the Surah such as Hmazam or, what, how, and Hal and their Stylistic and rhetorical function and their role in achieving the Quranic significance and highlighting it in the reader's mind.
The research also shows that most of the rhetorical meanings behind the questions in the Surah come out under the meaning of denial, rebuke, wonder and irony. This is consistent with the themes of the Surah which in their essence concentrate on the pagans; denial of resurrection, their worship of idols and their claim that the angels are the daughters of God, and so on.
