Sibt Ibn Al-Jawzi's Methodology and Historical Approach to Crusader Wars (in Arabic)
Auther : Mahmoud Rwaidi, Alia Al Qatamin
This paper addresses Sibt Ibn Al-Jawzi’s view, his teachers and pupils, his scholarly and educational background, his scholarly circles and contribution to anti-crusader campaigns.
The paper highlights his trips to Aleppo, Damascus, Karak, Egypt and Hijaz and his concomitant endeavor in preaching, guidance and jihad against foreign invasion. It was this kind of endeavor that enhanced Al-Jawzi’s high status among the Ayyubid ruling family as well as the rebels of Syria and Egypt. He was considered a historian writing history with style and explicitly effective methodology.
