Traditional School of J. Fux and Modern School of S. Taneev in Teaching Counterpoint: A Comparative Study (in Arabic)

This article sheds light on the methodology of two major schools in teaching counterpoint. Both schools have their central value in the history of teaching counterpoint. The article starts with a historical account of this subject from the Renaissance to the twentieth century, then it deals with main aspects of teaching this subject in two schools, pointing out their similarities and differences. The article concludes with results and author recommendations.
